Dust My Blues

One of the most satisfying, yet relatively unknown electric blues guitarists on the scene today, Garth Webber, has released his debut, "Get A Grip On The Blues" (Blue Rock'It, Redwood Valley, CA) and it's a winner. In the past, Webber has played with the likes of Miles Davis, John Lee Hooker, Boz Scaggs and Bob Weir and Kingfish, among others. Here he steps out on some high-energy originals, like the shuffle "You're A Bad One," the cajun-influenced "The Bayou" and a couple of tasty classics like Muddy Waters' "40 Days and 40 Nights" to showcase his deft guitar work and spirited vocals. If you're a fan of Robert Cray's early records or if you like your blues big and bold with a good helping of shiny, tasteful guitar, "Get A Grip On The Blues" will definitely be right up your alley...
